We operate a proteomics facility focused on the analysis of proteins and peptides. Our primary goal is to serve the needs of researchers in the University of Washington (UW) research community. Where capacity allows, we are happy to accommodate collaborators from other institutions.
Our facility runs in a cost-recovery model with usage charges contributing to the upkeep of the facility. Seeking to keep usage rates for UW users low, we are grateful to the UW School of Medicine and the Department of Pharmacology for subsidizing instrument repair costs. Our usage rates are reviewed regularly by UW Management Accounting and Analysis and the UWSOM and are subject to change.
We currently have an EASY-nLC 1200 and Orbitrap Fusion Lumos Tribrid mass spectrometer from Thermo Scientific available in our proteomics facility.
Please note that the MS usage rates have recently changed effective Dec 2023 . The 'full service' rate varies depending on the nature of requested service and inquires should be directed to Shao-En Ong.
